4G Apple iPhone and expected release date

When should we expect the 4G Apple iPhone release date to be and what could we expect in iPhone 3.0 software, which supports this future standard?

These are questions that are partly answered in a great article on Silicon Republic. They write about the upcoming 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) and how the next-generation iPhone is rumored to be compatible with this standard.

The Worldwide Developers Conference on June 8, 2009 is the event that should unveil the next Apple iPhone. Although there has been no official news, many rumors point towards this possibility.

Apple’s iPhone 3.0 firmware is rumored to include a few improvements for enhanced wireless networking and more specifically a chip for low power 802.11n wireless. Visit Silicon Republic for more details on this, expected release dates and the ability to join 5GHz networks.

Let us know if you’re looking forward to a faster 4G iPhone.
