CES 2010: iHome Flood Market with Seven New Docks

CES 2010: iHome Flood Market with Seven New Docks
One couldn’t accuse iHome of doing things by half, as they have introduced no fewer that seven new docks into an already crowded market.  In addition to the docks, a set of rechargeable mini speakers have also been announce
The docks range from the iP39 which is an FM alarm clock designed for use in the kitchen thanks to the inclusion of, what else, a dual-bake kitchen timer to the iP48 and iP49 rechargeable FM alarm clock units.  The existing iP90 will receive ‘Time Sync’, which automatically syncs your phone and dock, and a new space-saving dual alarm model, the iP42, will also be added to the range.  However, there is one product which stands out among the rest and that’s the iA5 dock.
The iA5 (pictured) has won an Innovations award in CES’s Personal Electronics category, and is described as an app-enhanced dock.  Named iHome+Sleep, the app provides information letting you track your sleep patterns, nap times and average number of hours spent sleeping, creating a record of your sleep habits.  The app will also store different alarm 1

preferences and you can repeat certain alarms at certain times of the week.
Finally, iHome + Sleep will update social networking statuses so you have a quick view of your friend’s feeds when you wake up, and it will deliver RSS news feeds directly to your iPhone too.  iHome say the iA5 will be released later in the year and although no price has been officially confirmed, there are rumors it will be around the $100 mark.  An upper range model known as the iA100 will also be launched and it will allow speakerphone calls to be made and wireless music streaming via Bluetooth.
All other new iHome docks will also be released later in 2010, with prices to be announced closer to the time.
